I was wondering if there were any quilters here. I'm a total novice with it, but do enjoy it. I told my dh now that we have a camper I have a place to put the quilts ha ha ha.

My DW is an avid quilter. In fact, we have quilts for each bed in the RV... She has, on occasion, taken her machine with us on trips and worked when the weather didn't cooperate.
She always has a hand stitching project in the bag on every trip.
Enjoy the hobby! I know my DW does (but my wallet doesn't )

I just quilted some place mats for the TT. I do not use place mats at home but wanted to try so I made four sets of two in different patterns and colors. I usually make doll clothes when camping but really enjoyed the quilting. I may make some bed sized quilts.

I used to be an avid quilter and enjoyed it very much until my Mom's dementia got worse and I needed to dedicate my quilting time to caregiving time, so I sold all my supplies to a nice young lady who was just starting out also.
Look at thrift stores for quilting books, patterns, etc and buy your fabrics a little at a time, you'll be amazed how much you can accumlulate. have fun!!!!

Same here. Depending on where we are going and how long we are staying, she either takes her machine or hand work or both.
And we have to visit every quilt store within 30-40 miles of where we are parked.

I do quilt, but not in the 5th wheel yet. My quilt rack would easily fit though. I know someone who pieces and quilts in her RV.

I just started quilting. We are "full timers" sort of. Have been in the same place for 4 years now, but planning to travel some more in the next year or so. I plan to cut out a few quilts, pack in supplies for them and then take my sewing machine. I like to do other little projects like bags, covers for my nook and kindle, and am making a winter fleece for my Lab.
Quilting seems to take a of "stuff" but I hope to find a way around that. I just got one of those fabric cutting machines, and of course the "stash" and then there is the fabric that I like so much I get it "in case." If it were just quilting I would be OK. But there is the beading equipment and the silversmith equipment and the PMC equipmtnt and my art things too.
I had no interest in sewing before I came to Alaska, and have found this very rewarding and loads of fun. We have a sewing day here in the community and try to get there as often as I can.

DW quilts. She quilted our bedspread in our camper and in our bedroom. We are planning to visit the national quilt museum in Paducah, KY next year.

I quilt every winter while I am south in my trailer. BUT my girlfriend just bought a travel trailer with a bunkie. No -- she has no kids. Her husband is going to take out the bunks, etc and she is going to build the whole bunkie room into a quilting room, table, shelves, storage, etc for her winter in Gulf Shores.
