It's a straight shot down I-70, but watch out around Effingham . Went through there this last weekend

Hope to see you guys there.

BTW, did you get any of the baseball sized hail??? We were in the KOA in Eureka and had just taken my mom back to Kirkwood when the stuff hit, just got rain but lots of it.

The neighborhood we live in now seems to repel most of the bad weather. We got some wind, lightening, thunder and about 1/2" of rain. No hail at all. Of course, the severe weather sirens was blaring away for awhile, as was our little NOAA weather radio.

Gen. Gretchen was right by our sides during all the thunder, lighting and wind. I think she just wanted to comfort us, as she could sense we were concerned.

Gen. Gretchen - 9 y.o. GSD - Special Forces/Seal/DOTL Cloudbusters
Gen. Missy - GSD/Aussie - Joined Special Forces/DOTL Rainbow Division, June 11,2006
Miss Inga - 9 week old GSD. Still a civilian at this point.

I know what you mean. During a thunderstorm last year on the way home from Branson, Spc. Dash climbed into bed with me to make sure I was safe. I think that deserves a promotion...

Yes, I think you are quite right. A promotion is LONG overdue! The Cloudbusters were a fine unit!

Sigh.

Bad news for our attending the rally. It has nothing to do with helping anyone move, but without going into great detail, there is a family event which we really have to attend on June 16th. We did not even find out about it until today.

Garland and I are both very disappointed that there is this scheduling conflict, and hope there is another Old Fella rally in the future.

NEWS FLASH ! ! !

With some very creative schedule juggling, we have managed to come up with a plan to attend the rally.

We are going to be arriving on Sunday afternoon, June 10th, and will be leaving at about 4:00am on Friday, June 15th. I'm not much for driving/towing 550 miles in one day, but we gotta be back by Friday night.

I will be calling the campground tomorrow, unless some other crazy thing happens . . . .

Col. Dash thanks the General for the promotion, and wishes her well at the Rally. He regrets that he cannot attend, because he has been assigned to a special mission next month in Utah.
