SoCalDesertRider, it sounds like your 18 option is not readily available although it is theoretically possible.

I don't think changing the 19.5's G's to F's is going to make much difference.

Interestingly, not long after posting here earlier that Diamond dropped the ball and never made the wheels for me, the owner of Diamond called my house to say he was ready to start making the wheels and needed some clarification on sizing/fitment specs before he builds them. Maybe he reads the forum??

I have some 285/75-16's on my silverado. Rated for 3750# (nitto terra grapplers) I also found some alloy wheels made by gear that ae rated for 3750#. Makes me more comfortable with the weight of my Lance 830 on the rear axle.. I now have 7500# capacity instead of the 6084# of my oem wheels. 18 inch wheels would never fit under the silverado in the front.

Any updates on the 18"s I have a AF 811s that sits on a 2010 ram with XD diesels that are rated for 3200 wraped in nitto 285s that are rated for 4000. just cracked a rim on a trip had to spend a couple of days in ohio getting rims. I say rims because I orderd a replacment and a full size spare. I really dont want to put 19.5s on the truck due to not being able to air down in sand and snow

Are you feeling the harshness in the rear or front? I have 19.5s and did not notice that much difference in the ride. I just noticed that there was a slight difference in the harshness on the initial impact. If you notice a bucking on the roads, its not caused by the tires, its the suspension. I would put some Sulastic rubber springs on it and that should soften the ride. Mine are going on next week.

The biggest difference I noticed with using the 19.5" wheels/tires is due to the stiffer sidewalls, I feel every rut and track in the road. The truck feels more yawing than I ever did with the stock wheels/tires. I have learned to live with it but it was very unnerving at first.
