Hi, I am currently on a 30 day trip visiting several National Parks. I am currently in Estes Park, Colorado staying at Elk Meadow RV Resort. Our next leg will bring us to Colter Bay Camping Resort.
I'm looking for the best route to get us into Colter Bay.

Long day....485 miles/10 hrs.
X2 on this route. If you want to split the drove into two days, Sleeping Bear CG just as you come into Lander is a good spot with nice views over the town with the Wind River Mountains in the distance. There is a new supermarket on the northwest Side of Lander which will be your last chance to stock up before the high prices and skimpy selection in Colter Bay. We used both the campground and the supermarket last year.
If you go down to Jackson, there are two supermarkets there, an Albertson's and a Smiths.
I know it's a long day, but wanted to be able to spend more time at our destination. The kids are wonderful on longer trips like that, as we stop often to see things along the way. I try not to go much more than that if possible?
I'm looking for elevations along the way, just to be prepared so I know what to expect. Our 5th wheel is nearly 15k loaded.
Between Dubois and Colter Bay you will go over the Togwotee Pass, which tops out at somewhere around 9,000 feet. It's a gradual climb and descent with no switchbacks, so you shouldn't have any trouble. We drove that road leaving the Tetons the past two years and went through several areas of road construction in the pass area. The most recent report I have seen has the paving complete and only short delays, if any.

This is an awesome drive with the Tetons popping up and getting bigger and bigger as you near them. Breathtaking.
Also Ditto on stopping at Sleeping Bear in Lander. Sinks Canyon there in Lander is a good "diversion".
Have fun!
I just went through Togwotee Pass last week and there are a couple of slow downs due to construction between DuBois & Colter Bay. If your timing is good you'll miss the delays. We hit a lengthy one after leaving Colter Bay for home, but timed the other one well.
I thought Togwotee Pass was mild compared to a couple of others on our trip from Santa Fee to the Tetons.
