Greetings to all. I need to replace my fresh water hose. I don't like the flimsy white ones they sell at Walmart ect.. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good quality hose based on real experience? I would like a 50 footer that doesn't kink.

Thank You kindly

I went through two Handi-Hoses a 25 foot and a 50 foot.

I love them. stores easily, and completely drains when rolled up. The problem is that they develop leaks. the 25 footer lasted just one season, the 50 footer lasted 3 years and finally died when I used it to fill a pool. It took me the first season to figure out to put the pressure regulator after the water filter but before the hose.

Now I have the white Walmart super kink hose that you mentioned that you want to replace, and I am sure that I will be getting more Handi-hoses after a little more aggrivation.

Well you can do what I did when I was a kid. A nice high quality garden hose. It's not RV 101, but I drank from it and survived. Dunno if there is any negatives to it though.

4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.

I use the common 25 ft white RV hose that every RV store and walmart sells that
have been around for a few years and I see absolutely nothing wrong with them?
They come standard on Class A DP from the factory on the power hose reels>

I've noticed that recently the white hoses for RV's must be made by a different company. I have gone thru 3 of them the past year. They spring leaks at the connection. The last one I bought came already equipped with the connection leaking.

I don't drink the water our of the faucet in the MH so I went out and bought the most expensive no-kink garden hose. Doesn't leak and folds up nicely in the bays.

Get a NeverKink. There are 'kink resistant' ones and I was fed up with those, so I bought a 25' and 50' NeverKink. They're guaranteed not to kink and not outrageously priced IMO.

I think I bought my white hose at Camping World when I bought my 2003 SunnyBrook new. Be sure it is the white variety for fresh water.
Are you putting the pressure regulator at the campground source so it protects the hose as well as the RV system against overpressure?
