Weather forecasters can't predict tomorrows weather accurately.....I'm sure not going to worry about any prediction thats months away.

We always get hurricane predictions from them and they have been wrong for the past 6 years.

Its all about insurance and oil.

That's why our winter CG is in the palm desert.

...unfortunately, the Palm Desert could end up being: the Popsicle Desert this winter

Bill:

Increased snow fall, without a melt, could mean less frost depth this winter? We've had some spare snowfall February months here, but at -35F persistently, the frost penetrates extremely deeply.

Q: How would others deal with cleaning 4, 6, 10 feet of snow off the camper roof every week a dozen weeks this winter?

Q: How would those in Rio Grand Valley, or Miami/South Florida or Arizona deal with truck camping during perhaps a solid month or two of 15F ~ 32F this "winter" ? There aren't many options of driving south of south Florida!

My 04 Lance was advertised as 'Alaskan Tough'. It has sustained me in the Carolinas and brief forays into the Great Lakes region every winter since. If it gets too cold for comfort, I'll simply ease back south to my home State and ride it out there. Have camper, Will travel.

Sorry Silver, can't get them my side of the Atlantic so I don't know. You'll have to check with Buzzcut, I think he is fitting one if he can get the right batteries, but if they can cope with solid rock then 6' of snow should be no problem

Over here I don't have to worry about exciting weather in winter, just the dull grind of it getting dark at 4pm and the rain arriving at all angles. Then I guess anyone from the PNW will be looking forward to the same (Sally has been watching "The Killing" - she exclaimed: "it is always raining there").

Steve.

I guess if they survived it 100 years ago we should have even a better chance. However I have never read anything happening like this in weather history let alone last century.
