Ahhh yes, would that have been the Taconic State Parkway that you were on???

I think we passed you heading north on 295 in Maine, I remember your truck, we were in Maine on the same days, you dont see many truck campers around NE so I am good at remembering them when I see them!!!

Your pics are beautiful!!!

Yes we were on the Taconic State Parkway ..... OOPS thought I was good to go... but I guess I was not.. I was 12 miles from the interstate.. I was worried that a trooper would be sitting at the end waiting on me... I went like 40 miles out of my way just to comply... Oh well saw more of NY...

We had no idea we were not suppose to be on there either, all the sign says is no commercial vehicles. We went to NY to pick up a horse a couple of yrs ago, drove all the way down and all the way back on it, we got 500' to the tolls to get off and got busted, cost me over 200 bucks!!! It is a beautiful road though!!!

WOW nice.

I absolutely love lighthouses as well ... and my DH can attest that we've never passed one by (without him getting an ear full! However, now he pretty much gives in <3 and he always enjoys them, too.)

But darn - now I have to go get a snack!! Hmm where's the leftover lobster?

I agree on the twin pines camp ground. That is a very nice camp ground and the resterants food is good too.

To the immediate left of the TIBBITS POINT picture, if the wind direction is right, chunks of ice the size of cabins pile up along the shore and sometimes threaten shoreline buldings.
