Gotta have my TV at night or I can't fall asleep hahahaha!

I saw a horizontal dish mount somewhere on the net and decided to try it. Everyone told me it wouldn't work including a Direct TV Tech. Once you get used to it you can set it up and have a signal in under 5 minutes. Works GREAT, don't know how I ever did without it!

We have the same set up. Sometimes the hubby just sits it on the ground and has 98 to 99 reception. You do what you gotta do to rough it. Happy Camping!!!

My theory is "If you don't use it, you lose it"

We also use the BATWING OTA antenna to pick up the local digital broadcast stations (ABC-CBS-NBC-FOX-PBS). This works great as well. We usually pickup anywhere from 6-36 digital stations anywhere we go. Sometime get up to 80 or so digital stations. Using our 22-inch VIZIO LCD HDTV it all comes in full screen high def TV mode..

When using the SAT setup camping off the power grid we also use the BATWING OTA which allows us to pickup the local digital broadcast stations. We can switch VIDEO modes on the 22-inh HDTV between the SAT RCVR and the BATWING OTA input by using the remote. Got them all covered now haha... I like the OTA local stations that have the 24/7 weather radar going - big help when camping off the power grid.

My Posts are IMHO based on my experiences - PM me

Very nice!
Did you make the dish mount or did you buy it?

Nice stand! How does it hold the dish? Got any directions on how to make it (since I can't see the back side of the dish I don't know if there's more to it than the 2 "legs")?

Thanks!

On the road and happy with Jed, my four-legged camping buddy.

I don't know why people would say it would not work. If there are no trees, then there is no problem. I guess it could move around in a wind storm since it isn't anchored to the ground. But it is a cool setup. O yeah, I would like to put in a plug for Michigan football but the big ten has been so bad the last decade I will have to go with... Go Gators.

BATWING ANTENNA

These are usually provided on all trailera as a roof mounted crank-up antenna to pick up VHF/UHF TV signals.

You can use any VHF/UHF TV antenna on your trailer but will will have to mount it somehow...

These antennas have a crank handle mounted in the ceiling of your trailer where you can manually crank it and then rotate it from the inside of the trailer..

Hey there is no stupid questions - only stupid answers haha...
