Be aware of one thing tho, if you camp outside the park you are setting yourself up for a 90 minute or longer drive each morning and night. Yellowstone is big and the roads are slow. Most of the things you want to see are well away from the edges of the park.

We stayed in West Yellowstone, Montana in Grizzly RV Park, it is a first-class RV Park. It is at the West Entrance of YNP. Most YNP attractions are on the west-side of the Park. We were in YNP and Grand Tetons last month. Be sure to spend some time in the Tetons. If need more info, send a PM.

Are there water spigots available in the cg to fill MH?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure all have water, especially any you would put a MH in. But you could go on the Yellowstone site for cg's and confirm that.

Two weeks ago we were in Yellowstone and stayed at Hideaway RV Park in West Yellowstone. It's the closest to the park and worked well for us. It's pretty basic, but the price was right and we were gone from before sunrise until late in the day. We did drive by Madison campground everyday and the full sign was always up. The best advice I can give is get to the campground you want early in the day. We started in Grand Teton NP staying at Gros Ventre campground; we got there late in the day and still got a site, but there weren't as many as I thought there'd be.

i know Madison and Grant had cg water but not for each site. they have one spigot for every group of 6 or more campsites. Fishing Bridge CG is the only one with a water hookup for each campsite, so i'm assuming the others are like Madison/Grant.

Looking at some old literature I have it shows all cg's except Slough Creek have piped water.

Pay attention to the length limits if staying in the park, they include the TV in the max size.
