We haven't. If you are interested in the San Diego area, I can't say enough about Santee Lakes. It's a municipal park, not a "resort". But it's just wonderful.

How long are you planning to stay in the Palm Springs area? It's awful windy in the Desert Hot Springs area. May I suggest Palm Springs Oasis RV Resort in Cat City. Close to everything, paved streets, concrete pads, Friday social, golf next door and many others within 5 miles. Much less wind and 90% snowbird occupancy for the winter.

Regards, Hamshog

Cat Spa is on the windy side of the highway. Depending on what program you come in under decides where you get to park. Those on the lower tier are rather small for a 40 footer with slides. Those in the upper tier are larger. Sites are all dirt, some have a cracked up concrete patio. We stay there as a last resort.

Hey Chris,

????? Did you have a problem? I'm annual here and other than having to replace an old breaker in the main panel, I haven't heard of any problems with the electrical system in the park.

Is there any one month that the wind blows less in Desert Hot Springs? I know it is always blowing there.

It wasn't blowing as much for a few hours yesterday, but I couldn't say which month... There's a reason they put the windmills just west of DHS...

We moved out of Palm Springs Oasis as the voltage there was just awful. They put in new 50 AMP posts but still had the old wiring. With nothing plugged in more than my inverter my voltage was at 116 volts. When I put on a heater, it was at 105 Volts. My surge protector cuts out at 105 Volts. I remember going into the office and asking about this and one of the people there said, does the low voltage burn up microwaves like it did mine yesterday. The park was only half full and it was in December. Could you imagine what the voltage would be when it was full or hot? They had a work camper come over and he was frustrated and admitted they have old wiring and yes they have poor voltage but most people he said aren't aware of the damage it can do and don't say anything until there's damage. He said the park knows about it but hadn't done anything to rewire the park. And, yes, he did mention they had main breaker problems. We got our deposit back and left pronto.
