I have tried to research the closest place to camp while biking the New River Trail State Park in Virginia but have come up empty handed? Anyone have ideas?

Fries RV Park is a few hundred yards from the trail.

Campground website

It's a small, very well kept campground. The owners are every bit as nice as the reviews say.

2X Fries RV Park. You can ride your bike from the RV park to the trail.
Horseback riding is also done on the trail, so if you are biking, watch out for the rough hoof prints!

I agree Fries RV Park looks nice, but pricey @ $35.00 a night. I was hoping for something a bit cheaper perhaps a state park or national forest?

Primitive sites are available along the trail for $12-15.....no vehicle access, you have to strap a tent to your bike.
