I never pull the curtains closed when bunkends are in, what's the point? they reach across and have the velcro that holds closed but why bother, especially the rear. I prefer when it's bunkends are closed to use the holdbacks to wrap the curtain panels and slide them to middle for convenience when opening or closing.

I have the opposite preference for looks. My mattresses look neat when stowed and the bunkends are closed, but with the curatins over it looks even neater.

The mest inserts are the mods and will improve circulation in the bunk ends with the curtains drawn. DW will finish the front double curtains tomorrow.

Mine looks like LEMI's but with different colors. A HTT with tent ends (not the beds on slides) will have the same amount of room inside with or without the beds open. A closed slide-out will take up much more room than a closed bed. On the Jayco 23B everything (fridge, bathroom, cabinets, etc.) is accessible with the beds and side closed.

That does look much tidier than ours. On our ROO the curtains have the mesh all the way to the top and the length is just to the deck edge. Yours has a good overhang and makes it much neater looking.

One of the great benefits for an HTT is being able to stopover for lunch or even overnight without the need for deploying the bunkends!

Also, if you happen to arrive at your campground and it's raining, no biggy, just drop the couch or the table and sleep there until the rain clears. Also we have stopped at Wal Marts to catch a few winks on longer trips and again it's nice to lie down for a few hours without much set up.

With regards to the leaking bit, as former owners of both a pop up and HTT, when it comes to any canvas it is better just be careful when packing it away. We always fold up with one person on the inside and one on the outside making sure nothing catches. It's better just to take an extra minute and we never had any leaks only a bit of condensation, which was expected.
