We are thinking of going east with our grown daughter, her husband and the two grand children. DW and I would sleep in our class C and the others would sleep in their pop up towed with the class C. We would ride and eat together and then have an extra bedroom for sleeping. Do you think that would work?
We have a 37' 5th wheel and our DD, SIL and DGD all went for a week this summer and made it fine, but we too we're outside most of the time except for meals, sleeping, and sometimes in the afternoons when it was just too hot to be outside & GD needed to rest. We didn't do a lot of cooking...don't remember what we ate...sandwiches @ lunch...don't remember suppers! LOL! We did have to empty the tanks once toward the end of the week. They did bring their car too as we had both our dog and theirs in the back seat of our truck. Having their car was handy sometimes.
Another idea-go to campgrounds that rent cabins or yurts. You can still share the camping experience just not as closely.
We've met my sister and her family several times at national parks. They've stayed at lodges and we get together at the campground for campfires and go sightseeing during the day.

KIDS (even grown up ones) and grandkids are sometimes easier to deal with than another set of ADULTS. You've ALREADY lived with your daughter So you probably know most of her and SIL's habits and they yours? And hopefully you've spent enough time with the grand children to know how that goes?!
Having an extra SEPARATE sleeping arrangement would be advantageous to having more space/privacy/and alone/down time all around.
To avoid any "miscommunications" once on the road - you might agree ahead of time as to WHAT everyone is paying for/chipping in on/and contributing towards. For instance FOOD/eating out/groceries/snacks/treats/toiletries & personal items/and misc. RV items - GAS/or diesel/propane/misc. RV expenses/Tolls/Parking - Campground/RV Park FEES/& misc RV Park "amenities" - SIGHTSEEING (and trust that you already have your Federal Senior Pass?!)
NOTE: I believe the NEWer edition (issued beginning Jan 1, 2007) now admits up to FOUR ADULTS when you WALK UP to a charge site: "A Pass is your ticket to more than 2,000 federal recreation sites. Each Pass covers entrance fees at national parks and national wildlife refuges as well as standard amenity fees at national forests and grasslands, and at lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management and Bureau of Reclamation. A Pass covers entrance and standard amenity fees for a driver and all passengers in a personal vehicle at per vehicle fee areas or up to four adults at sites that charge per person. Children age 15 or under are admitted free" ... WHEREAS the OLD GOLDEN AGE PASS may only admit the pass owner, spouse, and children where a per person fee is charged?! (Technically your DD & SIL are your children - BUT it really isn't clear IF they consider GROWN/ADULT persons as such?! Anyway just a heads up and if this is the case - have the DW buy a NEW one for only $10 ~if she's 62~ then everyone is covered! We JUST saw that at Mt. St. Helens NM!)
To the OP - you might also consider TOWING their car?! if that would be an option? THEN plan to stay at RV Parks which have Rental Cabins every so often for a few nights - to give everyone "a break - more elbow & breathing room - and personal space." However have to agree that the best thing to do would be to take a TRIAL RUN ... of at least 1-2 WEEKS. AND then if you're still speaking to one another - you're probably good to go
Happy Camping to All and to All an Awesome Campsite
