yes, but in a much harder place to find than on the frame rail under the propane tank.

I mounted mine on the side of the rear steps...No need to hide it. Wanted it accessible. It had a copy of the truck key and the camper key. Always feared that I would be 1000 miles from home with no key to the truck.

Yes. And, if you can reach the lock box without much effort, it is in the wrong place.
You do not want someone else to find it with a quick search.

If your truck has a entry key pad, put a set in the truck.

I'm confused on the opinions of hiding a locking keybox - similar ones are hung on the doors of most homes for sale. While a sledge hammer can bust it open, they are pretty secure.

Yes, I have one left over from my short real estate career. Very handy. Keep doubles of all my keys in it. I use the propane compartment as well.

We just purchased a realtor-type lock box. Yes it could be smashed open but so could the door if someone really wanted to get in. I want to know I can have a second set of keys in a place I can get to them easily, should the need be. We put the lock box on the propane tanks.

Out of curiosity, if you are not hiding it, why bother to lock the camper?
And what if you guys forget the lock box key as well?
