JenniferandJosh I can' remember. I have a folder with campground maps and our sites circled but I think it's still in the camper. The sites are all so pretty right next to the water, but after we saw the ones with the patios, we called ahead to get one. Really nice! Do hike up to see the waterfall. It is very pretty! We don't get to get out until the first of May. Hope you enjoy your trip!

Looking for interesting things to do in the area... so far we have the following written down:
*Gangster Museum
*Crater of Diamonds
*Mount Magazine
*Fordyce Bathhouse
Any good restaurants, shops, antiquing, etc that we shouldn't miss? No kids, so we don't have to do 'family friendly' things.
Thanks!
Jennifer here is a link to Arkansas Tourism, but I'd also suggest stopping at the State Info Center as you are entering Arkansas for hands on books, maps, info, etc.
The Crater of Diamonds Park is a nice drive through, but I would recommend not getting caught up in the diamond hunting thing. You pay to go into a large plowed field, and they will rent you tools to dig and sift dirt. You are free to stay as long as you like, but it's been some time since anything of value was discovered, and the odds of finding a gem are about the same as winning the lottery.
We go to Lake Catherine SP at least twice a year. We absolutely love it here. We usually spend a week there in December. It's always clean, the people are so nice there and you cannot go wrong. The only spot to avoid is 69 I believe. It has a huge slope. But other than that you can't go wrong with any of the sewer sites. Have fun!!

That was it, 54a. Sooo pretty! We are going first weekend in May. Could not get on the lake. 41 is all they had left when I called but I said we'll take it! If you go up the hiking trail to the waterfall let me know if it is flowing. It is very pretty when it is. Last year kids were jumping off the top into the pool below. Lynn
Thanks to everyone for your recs and info. We are HERE finally and RVnutts, I swear I we are in THE SAME spot in the picture! We'll have to compare camera shots, but I recognize that tree. We're in site 54a if anyone is here!!!
