Well Duke lost their season opener to University of Richmond. Bummer but at least we had fun at the duke employee kick off party (DH works for them, I left the dark side and went to the light side UNC!) And yet through it all, I remain a Hokie fan after only spending a year and a half there but graduating from the good old U of De. Did I confuse anyone yet?

If that was the team playing Notre Dame, Florida won, 23-20.

We thought the new GA uniforms were hideous, but liked the new helmets. Looking forward to the Bama - Penn State game, next week.

LSU started the season in usual fashion, looking like cr_p early on then sort of getting it together and pulling away in the 2nd half except they usually start w/ a Slippery Rock or such. It sure looked like training on the humid Gulf Coast heat payed off vs. the much cooler temps in Oregon. They sure had lots of guys pull up w/ leg cramps in the 2nd half while the Tigers seemed to get stronger. Didn't watch any other game except the highlights. Gators and Bama looked strong against much weaker opponents and War Eagles or whatever they call themselves this week had a real scare.
OK Horsedoc, what's with the new Dawg uniforms. I had left the room and Miss Sue started calling, come see this quick. "This can't be the Georgia I know. Those are even worse than some of Oregon's uniforms.
We're happy now, the season has started. We play the annual let another State University pay for their whole athletic program for the year by playing in Baton Rouge. Then the meat of the SEC schedule starts the next Thursday @ Miss. State on TV.

Jim, not so fast, Cinci has an excellent QB in Zach Collaros and Pead is a 1st. rate RB that could start for any top college football program. It all depends on Cinci's defense! If the D is half way good, the offense will put points on the board. Bags.

My alma mommy, Univ. of Cincinnati, pulled out a squeaker yesterday, defeating Austin Peay 72-10. Next week, we travel to Knoxville to be Tennessee's punching bag. What goes around comes around.

Retired and visiting as much of this beautiful country as I can.

Florida looked good. A one-second moment of silence for the end of the spread offense was observed and Brantley proceeded to throw for more completions and yardage in one game than he did the entire last season. The energy level was high and the defense is going to progress. Can't wait to see how it melds.

Kind of cool that Rainey was the first Gator to score three ways. Pass reception, run and kickoff return.

Charlie Weiss has been quoted as saying that Jeff Demps and Rainey are the two fastest runners he has has ever coached, pro or college.
