Vinegar and backing soda are easily available and cheapest products for cleaning household things. Vinegar is most suitable as it is in liquid form so it can penetrate more deeply into the surface. These are also Eco-friendly products as it does not contain harmful chemicals.
While cleaning of carpets is done with backing soda. Fresh stains are removed by using backing soda. Pour it dry over the carpet and do not get it wet, let it sit for a minute and rinse it with fresh water.
Older stains are removed by the mixture of detergent, vinegar and warm water.

I had what the dealer recommended and sold for a high price. It worked and I ran out so I bought some Awesome to finish. You could not tell the difference.
We have used Awesome ever since.
