Some good chuckles here but not all are entirely true. I am a first generation Floridian and I am a native to the bone.
Great advice on using Sir and Ma'am, it is expected.
When us old time natives talk about "The War" we are not talking about the middle east but the late War of Northern Agression.
Flipping people off or throwing things at folks in traffic can get you shot, we cherish our guns both concealed and not. Do not mistakenly enter the wrong residence, it has fatal consequences.
Dr John Gorrie is held in high esteem and makes this land inhabitable.
In north Florida we still have a more rural flavor and aren't particularly interested in the way things are done in big cities.
High school and college football way outrank pro football. When we mention the SEC we are not talking about the security and exchange commission.
The family car here is more often a truck rather than a sedan or minivan.

Very funny! Very true! I'm going to print it.
But I've noticed you have a couple of points vacant at the bottom. May I sugest a couple of what may be deemed "counter points"?
The ultimate insult would be "Florida license plates indicate the most obnoxious motorists". (I tried that one on my daughter who was a resident and she turned purple)
Or while on the street, when a Florida tag blows by you on the street, pull behind them at the next traffic light and as soon as the light turns green honk your horn like they don't know what's going on. (Note this may be dangerous to your health so employ it sparingly)
Just kidding, we love Florida, we simply avoid traffic. My wife wouldn't go back to Texas if she were served with extridition papers. But that's just her, I liked Texas.

In the winter months there is a trafic problem in central and southern florida because there are so many places to go and things to see (beaches bars resturants and many more attractions). If you want to set around the house all day stay at home the snow looks great from you living room chair.

Florida!
Love it!
I dont think that a day goes by while home
in the summer that we dont mention Florida.
Texas?
Been there twice,
You would think that I would have known better than to go back for seconds.
Life is short,Death is long,
Take a vacation.

Actually, all Florida or Texas shortcomings considered, EITHER state beats ontario.

If someone blindfolded you and dropped you off, how would you know if
you were in Michigan or Ontario?
