Getting new tires next week when we go to Oregon, going with the Toyo M154's 245/75/22.5s to replace the Mich. 235/80/22.5s. Are date codes 2911 current enough or should I try to get newer one's?
I was thinking about going to Les Schwab in North Medford on our way to Newport, since they can also do the front end alignment, anyone have any good or bad experience's there, any place else you might suggest instead.

That is just about perfect.

By the way, there is a Les Schwab in Newport. Not sure if they can handle a front end alignment on a Class A or not, but you might want to give them a call.

If you're coming to Newport, will you be staying at an rv park? I highly recommend Pacific Shores (Outdoor Resorts) on the north end of town. If you do come to Pacific Shores, drop by Site 18 and I'll have cold beer or a glass of wine for you.

Good luck

Ron

Ron, I don't think the Les Schwab in Newport can do the alignment.
I'll be at Pacific Shores next week, looking into the lots that are for sell so I'll definitely stop by and pick your brain. Are you renting or do you own lot 18?
See you there.

The absolute best shop for alignment in Oregon is in Eugene on the west side just off the by-pass. It is highly recomnended by Monaco and Me. If you are going by there and want the name let me know and I will look it up (Senior moment) I also just bought two new Mich's from them (295's) and they gave me a good price and the tires were only 20 weeks old.

I was told by my tire dealer that Toyo's are made in USA, Japan and China. He recommends either Japan or USA made, I would make sure of which country they were made in, it will be stamped on the tire.

We own and spend our summers here. Home is southern california with average daytime summer temps of 105+. Here in Newport, it's always in the 60's.....obviously, we just love it here.

We purchased our lot in 09, spent last summer upgrading it with a wall, pavers, and plants and this summer just enjoyed it. Pacific Shores is a great park with a beautiful setting, large clubhouse, two pools (one indoors), two spas, workout room, kitchen, two laundrys and a private access to miles and miles of beautiful beaches.

Sandie and I would be more than happy to show you around and answer any and all questions you might have. We have about 40 lots left, mostly in the area where we are located, but I think there are still a couple left up by the clubhouse. We have two full time real estate people and we know both personally and would be glad to introduce you to them.

There is an upgraded lot just one site over from us that the owner is trying to sell. He is asking a little more than what the other lots are going for, but he has added quite a bit to it and we have a great bunch of neighbors and get together often with bbq's, potlucks, and just hanging out.

Let me know when you'll be here...

Ron
