Rick, RMP3 "Red Max Pro #3" is a floor finish sold by Lowes. Boating people had discovered it would restore some shine on weather beaten or faded fiberglass. Back in the late winter or early spring, I came across a thread on here where owners of small Fiberglass Trailers had used the product with great results in restoring the shine to chalking/faded RV's.
It is very similar to a product called Polly Glow which costs a great deal more.
I took the plunge in April on my 2004 faded Sandpiper Fifthwheel. After a cleaning with strong cleaning products to remove all of the stains and dirt, I applied 4 coats to my trailer which shined like it had never done before.

Nobody knows if it will hurt a tire. Nobody knows anything for the long term. I would not rub red max pro #3 on my tires but our rv does look wonderful with red max on the sides and front and back. 303 for our tires.

I would really be interested in the long term effect on tires would be. Seems like RPM would crack, sooner than later but still crack. Of course this is just my thinking out loud and nothing to back up my thought other than common sense thinking.
But it would sure be nice to have nice satin black looking tires with little effort.
I just had 6 new Michelins installed on our MH and the old ones looked brand new with just a soapy water wash and an application of Armor-all.

Hershey,
Took me a while to learn this but Armor-all is NOT recommended for tires. It is a petroleum product which looks good at first but will dry the rubber prematurely. Your tires will start getting blotchy and worse, will die sooner than otherwise. Not sure what 303 is but I would get something specifically for tires, or use soap and water.

Perhaps your right, but.....like I said, my 7+ year old Michelins I took off really looked like new. Absolutely no cracks or weathering and surface(s) had no blotchy areas at all. Others may have the experience you elude to but it hasn't been my experience.

You folks talk about how good RMP 3 is.. but you know.. Last two wax jobs on this house were Turtle Wax and not even the expensive stuff.
Last fall I used two cans of "Zip Wax" this is a spray on (comes in an aerosol can) and last spring I used a "cream" type (comes in a can like paste but more liquid)
This time I'm using a different brand Meguiar's , cleaner wax.
I drove through a could of bugs 2 weeks ago heading to St. Clair, had to "Invisi-Glass" my windshield when I stopped for coffee.
but when I hit 'em with water yesterday.. Gone in 60 seconds is way too slow, gone in more like 0.6 seconds they were from the front cap..
I think I"m going to like this coat of wax too Meguiar's gets good reviews and the first thing I noticed is the instructions are different, make a bunch more sense.. I'm working slowly, did the front cap and the driver's side back to slide #1 today. Will do the rest of the driver's side tomorrow weather permitting. Then start with the rear and passenger side, then the compartment doors then a 2nd coat on the front cap, I always double coat the front cap.
Then it's over 1,000 miles to my darling daughter's wedding (Why I am waxing first, Better MPG)
Nothin adds excitment like something that is none of your business

Ya'know? If I had a full body paint job I wouldn't even think about using Red Max Pro. Theres nothing that it could do for a quality fullbody paint. With a quality fullbody paint job even a good coat of wax wouldn't help the shine. Not to say that a good coat of wax isn't good for any vehicle, good protection. So if that coat of Meguires gave you the back to new look on your RV then your good to go. I use Meguires for my '57 Ford and it obviously protects and gives it show room shine.
But I'd never think of using Red Max on it.
But for the white gel coat RVs, you can't compare the shine you get from Red Max to the best application of Meguires or any other brand of wax. Red Max wins hands down.

The really nice thing about RMP, besides the great shine, is the ease of application. Unlike car polish / wax products, there's no buffing. Just wipe it on, and let it dry to a great gleam!
BTW, I used Zep Professional Wet Look, available at Home Depot. Same thing...
