I see so many questions from people that are easily answered by simply looking at the owners manual. When I get a new vehicle the first thing I do is read the manual from cover to cover. I then review the maintenance requirements for my vehicle and create an excel spreadsheet to plan out and track what is due and when. I suppose if you were to buy a used vechicle with no manual I could understand. Anyway.....just wondering....Does anyone read the owners manual anymore?

You got an owners manual with your Dodge? Did you "read" the CD cover to cover?

Always read them (RV 'book', RAM Manual(s), appliances, TV's etc.) at least ONCE with a highlighter pen in hand.
Working in various power plants with multitude of different systems for 30 years one gets pretty good at gleaming information from vendor books, manuals, operating instructions......so YES I read them.
Then I do what I think works best

Mine came with some stupid CD and some abbreviated owners manual. Had to call a number on the CD package to get the full owners manual and diesel supplement. Everyone I know that bought a 2010+ got the same thing.

Yes I read every owners manual for every vehicle I have ever owned. For example my Honda CRV, if you look in the INDEX for towing behind a Motorhome, it tells you what page to look at, and it tells you you can tow 4 down but you have to do certain things and certain procedures and it tells you exactly what to do before you tow. That to me is a lot better then taking someone elses description of how to do it. Wealth of info in those manuals. Now some vehicles even come with a "tablet" with all that info instead of a manual. I will always read the manual.

My 2010 came with the CD as well....My answer was intended as sarcasm. I loaded it on the computer and read through it. Every other vehicle I have owned had a manual included so I was able to actually "read" those.

They sent me the manuals for free which was nice, I like having them in the glove box.

I as well read the owners manual. I have found that they are very generic in nature and cover several different models. Over all I have found them nowadays not to be that usefull. I can't tell from the owners manual with my new fiver if I have 6000# or 7000# Dexter axles. The manual covers both. Others are better, but not as good as they used to be. IMHO.
