I just bought a 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan. It is FWD so I want to tow it on a dolly. The manual say towing with front wheel on dolly is "NOT permitted". Why is dolly towing not allowed even though it is Front wheel drive? I hate to tow on a trailer. Other options?

What would Chrysler be liable for if towing the front wheels on a dolly??

I have dollied my '05 Town&Country for a few thousand miles with no problems.

If you tie it down with the trans in park it puts undo preasure on the parking brake paw. Tie it down with the trans in nuetral and after it is secured then put it in park. Ther have been cases where the parking paw broke and some where the trans case cracked.
