We are looking for a campground somewhere around Branson. Nothing with tons of amenities (just electric & water), shaded and spacious. Were staying late Oct. 0 to 20 mile radius. Any suggestions welcomed. Thank-you.

DW and I just came back (yesterday) from a week at Table Rock State Park. They have full hookup but we stayed in an electric site. Bathhouse was clean and a short walk. Sites are not as far apart as other state parks but during the week it was not crowded so that really didn't matter. It is no more than 10 miles from Branson, some of the stuff is closer. We walked to the Branson Belle (showboat). We rented a boat for a day at the Table Rock Marina (8 hours), did some fishing (I left all the fish there for others to enjoy). I would recommend it and we would definitely stay again.

We stayed at the city run Lakeside Park. It's right at the end of town and a pretty straight shot in if you're coming down Rt. 65. It is a nice, mostly shady campground and it does have all the amenities - EWS, cable, & free Wifi. It accepts Good Sam and rates are under $30.
As we approached the CG our Garmin GPS said it was on the left when, in fact, it was straight ahead.

We've stayed at Table Rock State Park for the past several years. Very nice and quiet. Easy drive to Branson. Just walking distance to the Branson Belle Showboat. We'll be staying there again in another 3 weeks. Many nice COE campgrounds close by also. If you want to be closer to the strip, most of the private RV parks are nice, but most are a little more crowded also.
just got back from Table Rock Lake state park. very nice campground. nice location. Had full hook-up but electric only sites were a bit larger and more secluded than the full hook loops. some sites are reservable only. a few sites were open all the time at this time of year. easy in and out with ANY size rv. Showers were decent and clean.Boat launch ramp available and marina.......would stay again.
NOTE: enter from the south of Branson off US65. less hills and winding roads.
