BobsYourUncle,

Let's see the ARK!

Great memories...thanks for sharing.

I don't think I could have suvived a BC winter outdoors...I'm a thin skinned, thin blooded, Southener.

Roughin' it? That would be my backpacking trip (last century) in Yosemite hiking 14 miles straight up. Two weeks without a real shower. Thats rough on a girl.

Never consider a trip in the rv as roughing it. Tent camping is semi-rough. backpacking it roughing it. Did it a few times with dh and now he is content to go with buddies and soon our ds(10).

Back in my younger years I liked to back pack into the middle of no where. Drinking from streams, getting my own food and my tents was a sheet of plastic and a rope. Making a spear to spear fish....

We do not rough it at all now days. Not even close. @16 years old the backpacking didn't seem like roughing it either.

I've only read two post on here that were even remotely close, Roughing it is sitting at home, looking out the window, & watching other RV's heading out.
