Picked up the 2011 edition of "The Next Exit" book this evening at the local Cracker Barrel.
They had them marked down 70% to $4.50, not a bad deal if you need one.
My wife Lisa loves using it.
Count your blessings!

For those of us not familiar with this book, can you tell a little more about what it contains? Thanks

If you are not familiar with them, this is a full size paperback book that tells you everything that is at every exit along our nation's interstates.
The listings are in order by state, then by interstate, then by exit. I-10 would be listed before I-20 with exit info (numbers and businesses) listed in order North to South or East to West.
The only negative is that they do not list anything on toll roads, so we have started our own for toll roads that we drive.
Hope this helps. We feel that they are worth the cost.
My wife makes notes as we stop like "easy entry and exit when towing", so if we travel that road again.

Hi from GA. . . we bought one for a trip from ATL to Tucson and back. We found 3 mistakes/inaccuracies and tried to contact them to let them know, but couldn't seem to get to a 'person'. Wouldn't buy another one., regards, Craig

Don't be throwing out the baby with the bath water. There are bound to be a few inaccuracies in a book with this much information. Also businesses open, close, move... I have one that is four years old. Still very useful.

I agree. I don't think you'll find ANY source of information that is flawless.....the Yellow Pages, internet sites, Google Maps, etc. The point is, it's better than using the coin-flip method.
However, another source you might be interested in is "Exit Now", which has some nice features. It's spiral bound, so you can keep it open to a specific page, the Interstates are listed from beginning to end, so you can just flip one page, instead of hunting for a new state, and a few other helpful components.

if you have a smart phone, there is a free android app that does precisely same function; indicating what is to be found off the next exit, and I believe covers toll roads as well.

Wow, you can get apps for anything if you have a smart phone. For now I am stuck with a dumb phone.
This summer we were using Google Maps and on the way to a campground in GA the last step in the directions were to turn R onto a certain road. Well, that took us into a residential area and we were lucky we were able to squeeze around the cul-de-sac without taking out any mailboxes.
I contacted Google Maps and informed them of the mistake and what was needed to correct it. About two weeks later received a thank you email from them stating that they had corrected it.
I guess even the phone book is outdated once it's printed. But I can't tell you when I have used a phone book..
Happy Camping Everyone!
