For us it is the aftermarket permanently stabilizers. We tried the Bi-Pod then added an extra set of rear arms jacks on our Carriage. While they helped some they did not work for us. Being fulltimers on the road for 15 years, being stable while parked is very important. We're very happy with our stabilizers that we have had on for over 15 years. Diana

Right now at Tweetys the ultra fab eliminators are 260 bucks, the jt's are 328. Basically the same product so we went with the ultra fabs. I just sold the tripod this week on craigslist

google up the Winfield Stabilizers and watch the video. They are a little simpler than JT's and I think will work for me with the wheel Bal X chock.

As I posted before my aluminum tripod octapus is going for sale in FL this winter for 40 to fifty bucks.

I use the Winfield front leg stabilizers along with rear jacks and BAL wheel chocks. The main reasons I went with the Winfield was I did not have to drill my frame and the price. I am very pleased with the results.

It's funny... We picked up our 5th wheel in Ohio...and on the way home stayed in Swansea, SC...at a Jellystone Park. My Son and DIL visited us there...and spent the night. My wife commented about the 5th wheel shake when people are moving around...and said that would not do.

I had bought my 5th wheel hitch from Tweety's...so, while on the camps WIFI --- I had a set of JT's 5th wheel stabilizers ordered before we even got home.

Wether you choose JT's or a similar brand... when properly tensioned (per instructions) they work amazingly well. I purchased a set of ROTOCHOKS next. The combo work very well together. I like the fact that the strongarms become part of the RV...you don't have to store them anywhere --- they're just there when you need them.

I cannont comment on tripods...as I avoided that route based on poor reviews.

The chocks eliminate the tire movement but there still is a set of springs between the tires and the rig which can still move even with the chocks installed.
I have a TT and use chocks and the JT Strongarm stabilizers which do the most good.

We use a king pin stabilizer and stacker jacks. The stacker jacks go in front of and behind the wheels. Works really well and a set of four stacker jacks is only around $40.

I got the SteadyFast system. Liked it better then then the Strongarms because it is MUCH easier to tighten up. There are only three tightening points instead of 6 on the strongarms. The points are up against the frame instead of way under the coach, and finally the wing nuts are huge and easy to turn instead of the samll ones that JT's use.
SteadyFast works very well, virtually no movement at all. Night and day compared to just having my Bigfoot system down!
