No doubt!
I sure miss Carlsbad! Ahhh the salad days.
But I digress...
Again, Mena has made it pretty clear that his digs are not in quite the same climate as yours are. Odd, I hit the SD beaches once or twice a year and it's always cloudy just like the LA and Central Coast beaches. There are some exceptions because of terrain. Maybe Salvo lives in one of those. Hardly ever cloudy where I live but I don't camp where I live so... I'm not really concerned with panel output while camping because it's not going to be that good anyways BUT I'll keep track on the power generated anyways cause I'm a nerd and that's how I roll.

Granted, the coast often has coastal fog or a marine layer. Try camping at the beach in September or October.
I search out sunny locations when I camp in the winter. Not because I need solar, but sunny warm weather makes the camping experience more enjoyable. Arizona is fantastic in the winter. California deserts are also almost always sunny.
Clouds, and getting enough solar has never been a concern for me. Unless you camp in places like Portland, clouds are a minor factor.

Been there many times. I recall the first time I went there. While in high school in Orange County, my buddy and I went motorcycle camping during Easter break. We were over at the Salten Sea and got tired of the barren landscape. We wanted to camp under some trees and decided to go to Joshua Tree. We didn't know what a Joshua tree was. ha ha.
These days we go in more comfort. It is high desert so it's cooler.

Nice! Ok, I'll put that on the list. BTW, we wanted one of those Sprinter based MH's. More money than we wanted to spend BUT it didn't have enough tow capacity for our horse trailer. Size was good.

I just got a 12 volt dc 13.3 inch RCA LED backlit TV for my camper Van.
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&sku=827595&Q=&is=REG&A=details
The back says 18 watts.
The literature says under 25 watts.
My battery monitor says it is consuming 0.7 amps at 12.6 volts.
That is only .2 amps more than the 7 inch TV I replaced.
Not impressed with the speakers though. Crackly, buzzy. First model sent, the remote would not communicate.
