I have been RVing for 30 years. Owned many different RVs. In the process of buying an Open Range. I have called the factory several times with questions. I have been very impressed. Someone always picks up. No waiting or leaving amessage. A very knowledgable person who was plenty willing to share info always answers...kinda nice...
Sometimes when you call, the President/Owner Randy Graber answers the phone. I know this because I needed an answer for a question about an Open Range RV Model for this forum! Just another example of his great approach on customer service!

We are in Shipshewana now and toured the Open Range factory a couple of days ago. We were very impressed with the friendliness and openness of everyone we met. We accidentally broke a piece off the sewer hose storage tube cap and stopped by the service department to see about a new one and were given a new cap, no questions asked! The service manager gave us his personal contact information, in case we have something else come up down the road. You can't ask for much better service, imo!

PS
When we were shopping for our new rig we called Open Range with some questions and Randy Graber, President of the company, called us back personally with the information we asked about! We also talked to a couple of other Open Range people who were very pleasant and happy to answer our questions. They really understand customer service!

We purchased an Open Range Roamer picked up June 13 this year. Noticed a missing trim, emailed and Open Range couriered it to my door. Also had a minor toilet problem and Open Range shiped an entire new toilet to our dealer for installation. Very impressed with their customer service and the overall fit, finish and function of the trailer.
I have used the 'Contact Us' link on there web-site. Got a call back from one of their Customer Service reps, who said the all of those Contact Us requests go straight to Randy's office. And he forwards them to the right person for resolution. Sometimes it may be Customer Service, or he handles them directly, or sometimes to a production floor supervisor...depending on the question.
This indicates to me that the company is committed to their customers...from the top down.

I took our Open Range Roamer BHS 303 into the dealer a week ago to get a number of items fixed (all but three were minor tweak this and that), but three issues were pretty major. First, I had noticed just a few weeks after picking up the camper from the dealer that it looked as though there were long and narrow bubbles in the front fiberglass cap that is on the top front of the camper. From that point forward, I noticed it every time I looked at the camper. Second, we had an inverter go bad on us over the summer which meant that the shore power wasn't being translated properly to any device that ran on 12-Volt, and finally, our water pump and water systems seemed to be problematic - connecting a hose to city water was actually filling fresh-water tanks.
Just got a call from the dealer who politely corrected my understanding of a valve under the kitchen sink (which allows you to actually fill the water storage tanks from within the coach) - check.
They replaced the battery charging element of the inverter so now 12 volt devices will run off shore power - check.
And to my sheer delight, Open Range is shipping them a brand-spanking new front fiberglass cap to replace the imperfect one that came from the factory.
Also ordering me new doors as they didn't like the fit and closing mechanism on the first generation, replaced some plumbing fixtures and tightened up a few loose connections, re-sewing an area of carpet that tore (or possibly replacing all of the carpet in an area - that is yet to be determined), and caring for a number of other wear and tear things that gave up before the 2 year warranty.
How could I be any happier? I can't. They're even going to try an get it all wrapped up on the next week so I can sneak in our "final trip of the year" up to the North Shore of Superior before things freeze up here...
Open Range seems to seriously care about getting customer service right. So very cool!

Not sure, but my local Open Range dealer also carries KZ - another solid brand. We looked at the KZ Spree 318 bhs and always thought it was a nice step up. We were also considering getting a 5th wheel for a while (Durango by KZ). Then we went into the Open Range Roamer and fell in love. It had 5th wheel features, but allowed us to keep our truck bed for other functions, so we went Travel Trailer. Love the OR 303 floorplan. That said, I really liked the KZ as well!

This is the one of the many reasons why we are looking an OR.
Our current rig mfg claims to have great customer service, but we have called twice to get the contact info for some installed electronics that are on the fritz, and still no call back. So our new toshiba flat screen just looks pretty hanging on the wall.
You can bark about quality and "service" all you want, but when leadership takes front seat and owns it, this shows that its about the customer relations, not the bottom dollar.
I just checked out Open Range; had never looked at them before. Specifically the Light models. Interesting that they offer optional stabilizers and a gooseneck adapter from the factory. Looks like they're making their own GN adapter and hitch to fit existing bed rails, too. The FW pin box looks proprietary, as well with, it appears, no way to put an aftermarket "flex-type" pinbox on it. Will check out some this weekend, if I get time.
