I ordered a Wildcat 313RE last week. They will "give" me a hitch and I found out it is Reese 16K. I have a Dodge Ram 350, mega cab long bed dually.

I need a hitch that is easy for a single lady to hook up and unhook. My son thinks the Reese will be too hard to release.

I will gladly pay the difference in another hitch. Which one would be the easiest for me?

Thanks in advance.

I have a Mega Cab, and a Pullrite SuperGlide hitch. With a Mega the bed is only 6'3" So you really need a slider (depending on how the front of the 5'ver nose is built...) The Superglide is all automatic no fuss no muss! I Love Mine!!!
Edit
Did you have your Mega Customized to a long bed just noticed this?
If so forget what I said!!! If not it is a short bed....

I have the Reese 16K and it is very easy to use, and sturdy as can be. Can't imagine one being easier, but there are lots of style to reduce the chucking and bouncing effect which is nice. Others with more experince will chime in soon Iam sure.

What length bed do you have? If it isnt 8ft then it is a short bed for which you will need a slider hitch, costs a lot more than a standard hitch for a long bed.

I think that the 16 K Reese is a good hitch. It should be as easy to hitch and unhitch as any other. The MOST important to consider is to get a hitch that has two jaws, not a single jaw. I have the Reese 20K hitch, with a single jaw. The single jaw can not close down as tight as the two jaw hitch.

I wanted a 16 K reese hitch, but wound up with the 20K hitch. You might want to get comments from the PullRite people and the Curt hitch people.

The Reese will not be too hard to release. Just make sure there is no pressure (forward or backward) on the hitch when pulling the lever. That is the same for most any hitch.
