Greetings folks,

We're camped in Indiana Dunes SP tonight and I can't get any TV reception. I've tried it with the booster turned on and off (the indicator light is working), checked all the connections to the TVs but get absolutely no signal. I don't have a ladder to climb up and check the lead on the antenna but I'm wondering if those can come loose due to wind turbulence? I've not had it in any trees that could have pulled it loose.

Thanks!

Bill J.

We have a worthless antenna on our Kodiak. It stands about a foot high, can't be aimed and it's a flat thing maybe a foot across. Last winter in Yuma we got ABC and a couple of Spanish language stations. Friends with a regular antenna several miles farther away got 10-11 stations. Maybe you have a bad connection and maybe you have a lousy worthless antenna. I guess ours is supposed to be the latest thing and the booster was on.

Do you have a digital or analog TV. The old analog TVs (tube type) no longer receive signals.

Thanks for your suggestion, however, both TVs are digital and I also have the extra element on the antenna that's supposed to help digital TV reception. The system has worked fine in the past but for some reason we can't get any signal whatsoever. We were in this campground last year with the same trailer and TVs and didn't have any problems.

If you have the digital mod, the system worked before, and you checked everything short of the rooftop...I would bet your problem lies there!

Check your tv menu and make sure it is set to antenna and not cable.

Well you probably aren't getting any channels because you are to far from any stations/transponders.

Check out THIS WEBSITE.
It's a website we use as we travel that shows which stations are available and which direction to point antenna.

None are showing for Indiana Dunes SP.

Found it! I checked out the antenna and it was fine. I dropped the booster down from the ceiling and one of the f-connectors had pulled loose from the cable and the coax from the antenna had come loose from the booster. The f-connector had hardly been crimped so I put it back on the cable, crimped it so it can't come off and now both TVs are working great.

Thanks for all the responses.

I have a 2011 lance camper, why would they outfit it with such junk?

Were you on cable last time out? Have you switched TVs back to off air reception instead of cable?
