Recently we stopped at Willow Beach since it was remodeled and they have added a new campground, The campground is done very nicely with pull thru sites (No Canopy's) and only offers full hookups and tent sites. We inquired on the cost per night and since it is the National Park if they honor the America the Beautiful card and we were informed they do not honor it as they contract the services out to another company, I cannot understand if it is a National Park why the card is not honored . It seems that they are charging us wherever they can, sometime back they started to charge per vehicle access to the National Park areas and now they decided to no longer honer the America the Beautiful card.
The nightly camp fee is $35.00, Weekly $210.00 and Monthly $672.00 so if you are on a fixed budget you may wish to consider the 7 mile drive two lane road down to Willow Beach.

Happy Camping

We drove there last week. Have to say who ever laid out the cg did an oustanding job. But since it is concessionaired or vendored out, I guess whatever contract is drawn up, determines whether they accept the card or not. In the last several years we found several concessioned cgs that do honor the card for some discount, but most don't. If it is decent tomorrow, we are taking the canoe there and do some paddling.

On the Arizona side of the Colorado River about 20 miles south from Boulder (Hoover) Dam.
