I was just informed that we are going to spend a week in/near Gulf Shores AL in June. It seems the DW's sister and clan are vacationing there and we are "invited". They are condo people & we are campers. Van campers, sort of B wanna Bees, actually. We want to stay nearby and haven't been to that area in 20 years. Heard the state park has really changed, due to storms, fires and what have you. What's a decent place for a couple who likes the quiet of a secluded campground with privacy and spacious sites? Don't need the beach, sure we'll see that with the "family". Also what's the accessibility like reservation wise? When & where should they be made, etc? It is really hard to maintain my enthusiasm at this point.
Thanks for any and all help
Camping in a Sportsmobile. How much better can it get?
Stayed there a year and a half ago. Check out Bay Breeze /www.baybreezerv.com. Nice place and just the right distance away from all the "craziness" for us.

We didn't know Gulf St Pk before the storm damage but we like it a lot now. All sites are paved, level and full-hookups and the bathrooms are new for a reasonable price. And maybe in June you could get in OK which is a problem in winter.
Based on Norm Waddell's reco's, we stayed at Luxury RV Park and enjoyed it...location was very convienient to all the main "touristy" things-restaurants, beach and intracoastal but as mentioned above, based on the condo location it may not work for you but worth checking out.
