The tow dolly is not the average Uhaul and was built to handle trucks.......but not RV's. I'm definatley not saying that anyone should do what I did, but sometimes, you do what you have to and be as safe as you can while doing it. The only thing I was really worried about at the time was the dolly's tires, but none the less, it will be better planned next time (if there is one). We just took it very very slow 10-15mph on small streets.
Now all that aside, Thanks for the input on the showers. I definatley think I should be covered with a replacement tank of that size or so.
Now that were on the shower questions though, I figure I will bring up a new topic. I'm in the middle of working the tub/shower. Its current configuration is a tub with 2 side walls, 1 front and 1 back wall, all made of fiberglass (possibly plastic) with a port hole door cut in the front.
I am wondering on options to make this an RV bathroom, rather than one that feels fit in a submarine. I can take the front wall off that has the door cut into it, and it would create basically your everyday average home shower with a back wall and 2 sides. This is what I want to do, but the darn thing is a nasty yellow. I have been toying with the idea of re-glazing, tiling, re-showering....etc.
What are some oppinions on making this thing a more normal shower, in prefferably a white color. Oh yeah, and on a military budget (very handy)
thanks
John
border="0" alt="" /> [/img]I think that stuff can be painted with the right kind of paint.
I agree about tile. Thought about leaving the tub on bottom, and puting up tile board, and making a shower, but I think that's just polishing a turd. I would like to paint it with epoxy paint, or re-glaze it with a gel-coat, but i think it all comes down to either replace the turd or keep the turd.....don't polish it. what do you all think about pulling off the front portion that has the door, and leaving it as a 3 piece with a shower curtain. Or swaping in a stand up corner shower with a door like the new rigs have.
thanks again for all the input, and oh yeah, help me out with wall treatment. We've got our hands on some wall paper and are going to give it a shot. Its a vvynal product and is scrubable. We tried replacing the board, but with no joy because its built from the outside......would have to strip the outside to get to the inside paneling.
Arent free motorhomes GREAT? Got mine about 2 years ago and we love it. When I re-did my interior I used sheet vinyl flooring. I got 2 different tile patterns. I did a small 2" tile in Kit, bath, and shower, and went with a bigger slate pattern in back bedroom
does anyone know where i can find the new style of table for the dinette. I currently have a setup like the one pictured above in replants nice remodel, but would like to install the newer kind that just lowers straight up and down. no hinged parts, but more of a slide like operation, straight up and down.

I order all my things from HERE They ship fast and have good prices, They should have what you are looking for.
When we removed the wall covering we found a sticky mess that could not be removed. We covered it with 4" wainscot T&G panels and applied 3 coats of min-wax finish.
It came out nice but was expensive. Later we found that Lowe's sells paintable wainscot wallpaper.
Above the chair-rail we did apply Kilz followed by a coat or 2 of paint. Maybe some day we'll put wallpaper up.
Ok, started laying laminate wood flooring today. I hope to be done with that tonight, and starting on the wallpaper in the morning. I need to get some wood paneling to finish building my cabinets, but its coming together quite fast now. Up front in the cab section we bout some carpet scrap from Home Depot, and will do a transition from the wood floor to carpet. How does everyone feel about that. Honestly, i would have rather went with a rubber material, but I couldn't beat the price of the carpet, plus its house carpet so it keeps that home feel. I will be starting on the back area/bathroom this weekend. Oh yeah, And i might have alot of questions coming here soon, as for I might downsize the generator and use some of the left over space to move the toilet..... any suggestions, let them fly.
