Since my ham call sign is on my "Amateur Radio" license plates on the toad, all anybody has to do is google it (just to be sure, I just did it, and sure enough, there it is!) and get the address where my base station is.
If they are sufficiently dishonest, they may have access to the license plate list, and they can look up the license number of the Tioga, and see where I live.
No matter how hard you try, in the world of today you just can't hide!
Oh, sure, there is no need to make it EASY, but you really can't hide, regardless!

Signs are cute. Its a good way to learn the names of your neighbors. If you have a "senior" moment and forget them after introductions. Stop worrying about personal info, okay don't put your last name on it. We had a sign made at a craft show. It has a drawing of our camper and our first names and where we are from. This is a good conversation starter, go out, be friendly.
