I'm seeking input from anyone who has actually used the Andersen Companion Hitch. I'm presently considering purchasing this hitch as I have a gooseneck ball in my tow vehicle. Any comments on this type of hitch would be appreciated (www.andersenhitches.com)

It is certainly light weight. Im sure it has been thru testing to meet the claimed weight limitations.
I dont like the idea of the manual operator for hitching. Unhitching is OK. Id rather see something that would automatically latch when the ball is seated and give some indication of being complete.
I dont like the idea of having to raise the 5th wheel about 2-3 more inches to clear the ball.
The idea of reversing the hitch to offset for a short bed really violates the 5th wheel design.
