No they don;t need plates. That is the way it has worked before all 3 on one permit. i was just wondering about the deposit. the truck is 2004, the scooter 2010. If they only charge for one I imagine they will go for the 2010.
I have written a lengthy enquiry in Spanish to an official at Banercito who seems quite co-operative with info, so i will pass that along if he replies. I mentioned that I ran 2 Mexican tourism websites and was also finding out info for this one, Mexico Mike & the Churches, so maybe he will be more anxious to make sure he gets the right info.
I think it was on the San Carlos forum that I read someone complaining that he had not gotten his deposit back within a few days. He was good enough to come back on and tell everyone that he HAD it credited back but it was a week or so later. I would not deal in cash unless it was absolutly necessary, I would trust my credit card company more.

Snow River: This is from another forum. The poster lives in the Hassle Free Zone and he should have had his truck eneter for free. Who knows how they calculated all of this!! I guess what I posted before about the trailer being free may not apply.

"Our information is current as of Friday. I was going to post our experience earlier but just got internet service. I'll try to make this short. We have a 2007 pickup w/cabover camper, utility trailer and an ATV. In a nutshell, it took almost 2 hours to clear KM21. All our papers were in order, registrations for everything. First the visas. No problem. Sent to Banjercito to pay for our entry. Paid our fees. Sent back to get a form we filled out getting visa. Were required copies of everything. Made the copy guy really happy! Went back and waited in line again. Gave the copies to agent along with $6,072 pesos for our hologram (all three "vehicles" were listed. This will be returned to you when you leave the country-with all three vehicles."
