We took a cooking class at SDC in Branson and she gave us this method for cooking corn on the cob when cooking over a grill. Corn must already be shucked and cleaned of silk. Liberally coat the corn with real mayonnaise (low cholesterol version works well), sprinkle with your favorite seasonings (S & P, Mrs Dash, Mortons, Cajun or whatever you like on vegetables). Wrap in foil and grill turning often. Times vary depending on heat of grill but it takes at least 20 minutes for our gas grill (longer if we use frozen cobs).
Amazingly the mayo adds moisture like butter would but you do not taste mayo and it tastes great.

I've been doing corn on the cob this way for years. I only microwave them for 2 minutes per ear and let them stand for 5 minutes before shucking. Always perfect.

When i do corn on the cob, even with company coming in. I use the foil for baking potatoes, lay corn on foil butter & salt then wrap up.
This way it is easy and clean way to eat corn on the cob.
