Update: We did the winterizing and putting on cover ourselves. The many people here who said we could easily do it ourself convinced us. We checked and saw that the unit had the winterizing kit installed already. I read lots of winterizing threads and made good notes. It went fine! We did have a nice guy at the campground help with putting the cover on but I am confident the 2 of us can do that next year. Feels good to save the $105 the rv service was going to charge! Thanks for all of your input!

Don't forget that you have to transport the trailer there, deal with the time to get it in and deal with the time getting it out. Just that time alone is likely more than what it would take to drain the system, bypass the water heater, and then put in the pink stuff.

You should probably re-read the op

The price is very reasonable for what you are getting if you don't want to do it yourself.

Glad you did it yourself OP

$100 is pretty reasonable if you don't want to do it, but, good for you doing it yourself!

We just paid $80 to have ours done, and it really hurt to pay that much for something we usually do ourselves! haha! This year it was worth the cost for the convenience of having it done, since we are in the middle of moving, and the TT is stored on the dealers lot, it also was already in the shop for warranty work. This will hopefully be the only year we pay to have it done.

To me, paying anyone any amount of money to do something that i'm totally capapble of doing myself is overpaying, 10 bucks or a 100. it took me all but 45 minutes to winterize my rig this year. flushing out my black water tank, draining the hotwater tank, taking in the battery, running the pink stuff. which was 3.50 or so a gal at walmart. taking out the TV and anything that can freeze or doesn't need to stay in the TT for storage. No cover this season for me, but that would add about another half hour. But i guess to each their own.

I think that is reasonable and that is about what our RV resort charges....We don't use the service, but alot of the other people do. We leave our travel trailer in northern Wisconsin.
