Well, recently finished putting the Eternabond on my new trailer.
Had previously done around the skylight and vent when I installed the Maxxair cover, but was waiting for a good time to do the rest...and the guts to get it started.
I pulled the vinyl 'cover' out of the gutter and ran the Eternabond from the lower lip where the vinyl was hooked into and up and over onto the roof. The first side I did was the entry side, so I had to deal with the awning, which wasn't that big a deal. Took about 3.5 hours.
On another day I did the other side and it was about a 3 hour day which included doing the front and rear seams.
Overall, it was well worth the effort and the only thing I have left to E-bond are the vent and antenna areas.

Realize I don't have a pic of the wrap into the gutter, but I'll try and get one asap.

Anyway, here's some of the finished product:

Please excuse the crappy looking rear seam. It was the end of two rolls/end of the day/pulled off too much backing and she stuck in the most unruly way

Here's the original 'kick at the cat'

OK, here's where it wraps over and covers the gutter - you can see the screwheads under the tape. BTW, there is water on the tape in the pic....not all of the 'blemishes' are air bubbles

Around the awning mount. I ran the tape right up to the bracket on each side and then covered the gap with another piece over top.
Ran a bead of sealant where the tape rests in the lower gutter lip. I realized (too late) that I could have just run the tape over the lower lip to the bottom of the gutter, but once I started I was committed.

Cheers,

Mike

Thanks for posting.

I need to do the same soon and redo all the original caulking soon. I park under cover so I have been putting it off.

Hi,

I will bookmark this page, so when people ask about roof repairs, I can tell them how to make it look great, or share a picture of my RV. Yours looks great!

This is one place to get the Eternabond that is only $52 for the 4" wide + shipping, be sure to check that out to not pay to much.

What I put on was almost indestructable white Herculiner bedliner. No leaks so far!

Fred.

Nice work. That was a great idea on the awning bracket to shed the water over the side.

Used about 85' total, but still need to get some more for the remaining spots. I had bought 2 of the 50 foot rolls from Bestmaterials but used a couple passes on our old trailer's front seam, so luckily I had enought left to almost get this one done.

"Eternabond upgrade." Is that an oxymoron?

That's the best redneck engineering I've seen all week! Thanks for sharing!

Good job! You'll love the peace of mind you get from having installed Eternabond all around your roof.
