My fantastic fan seems to have a mind of its own. It goes up and down at will. I know there is a rain sensor attached to it, there has been little rain here yet this season but there is some morning dew here. Often the lid goes up and down in the afternoon when it should be completely dry, any ideas what I might do ? Thanks

Mine did that at one time. I went up on the roof and cleaned the rain sensor strip. It worked good after. It's a easy try.

That is strange. I would give Fantastic fan a call. The service rep will tell you what's needed and send it to you free. Great service from them.

On our last rig we had the same thing, but I cleaned off the sensor and it worked fine, it just was dirty.

Hi,

I have some dust on my rain sensor, and that will make the sensor conduct just like there is water on it. I think the cleaning solved your problem,

C S,

From inside the trailer; remove the knob, take the inside pannel down, cut the white wire going to the rain sensor (usually located in the curb-side rear corner of the housing), reassemble the fan.

No more rain sensor.

The M-F in my bedroom has a switch to turn the rain sensor on-off. Came that way from the factory.

I need to call them about the same problem. I cleaned the sensor and it still acts up. I want to defeat the sensor cuz I have a louvered cover over mine but I'd like to keep the auto open/shut, spot/limit feature. Craig

My problem was the rain sensor also, cleaned it up and now it works great.

What is the thermostat set at. That will make it go up and down with a temp change.
