We are new travel trailer owners and were wondering how important it is to cover it during storage? We live in northwest Ohio. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

We bought a cover for our new trailer last fall. Most people don't cover, but I feel the freezing/thawing action from snow and sleet on the roof can't be good so I cover. We have a 34 ft trailer and the cover was $380. A bit pricey but I feel it is worth it. Will be throwing it back on in a couple weeks.

I just got the Expedition Series cover and covered up our TT today, it's a real nice cover, and it also fit nice, plus it has a 3 year warranty.

I got it on the net for $168.00 and free shipping.

I keep mine covered all the time and we take it our every 3 weeks all year long. It’ll save your tires awning and keep those $8 plastic parts from turning yellow. I hate that my baby is covered and I cannot see her beauty though. Most don’t cover cause it’s a pain. My buddy has a toy hauler that is only 6 years old and it looks beat. Leaves if uncovered and just about never details it. Think of it this way, keep it covered and detailed and in 15 years when you go to sell it you get a few thousand more. Your efforts will pay off.

We cover Oct - March due to nearby trees. Keeps the debris off. We do not cover in spring-fall since we take it out every 6 weeks.

I have had a ADCO cover for the past 5 year and it finally became to weary and shredded to use any more. so my baby will weather the winter naked this year. I am kind of leary about it myself, but a new cover isn't in the cards this year. To many other irons in the fire at he moment. however... i do intend in investing in another new one for next winter, as i live in northern michigan gettin 250-300 plus inches of snow a year.

There are dozens of "cover" threads here on the forum. Lot's of people like how they protect the RV, some have had bad luck with the cover scratching or rubbing on edges, etc. We bought an Expedition cover to see if we would like it. You get what you pay for as the Expedition lasted almost exactly three years before it fell apart. We now have a CalMark which was much more expensive, but is noticeably better quality. We will see how it holds up, but it sure is nice to pull off the cover and have a nice shiny trailer ready for the next trip .....
