A black bear must have liked the sweet smell coming from the "Ole Smoky Candy Kitchen", Gatlingburg Tn. He broke in sometime during the night of Oct. 21st. Employees described the young bear as a kid in the candy shop. They could see where it had a fun time eating caramel apples, and pecan logs. That sweet aroma is hard to pass, I can vouch for that. Security cameras captured the bandit.

I just saw a news clip yesterday of a bear cub in Alaska that walked into a grocery store. They showed him walking thru the produce cooler. Some guy grabbed him by the fur of his neck and took him back outside. They said he did about $500 damage from walking thru the veggies in his "bear" feet. Nobody seemed to be very concerned. I guess that type of thing happens when people encroach on bear territory.

Retired and visiting as much of this beautiful country as I can.

I don't think I would be too concerned about a bear foot bear walking on my vegies. Much worse things walk on them in the fields, transports and stores.
