What a great idea! I can dude it up too.... maybe put flames on it. I'd have the coolest RV in the playground!
When I broke my right foot and couldn't drive the MH we hired a truck driver instructor to teach my wife how to drive our 34' DP. In four hours my wife became an accomplished MH driver. So check your local truck driver schools and see if you can get a driver instructor. By the way I broke my foot by falling off a ladder waxing the MH! Driving the MH is a lot safer than waxing it! Good Luck!

I saw a cool t_shirt that said:
OVER WHAT HILL?...
WHERE?...
WHEN?
As for driving the thing my first experience was "traumatic" as well because I set up to pick it @ port, and drive back to home about 200 miles away in a very windy road, this was with family included!, I have never driven anything bigger than an astro!!!! So wen I saw it for the first time..... Wooooaaaaa, the humanity, THE SIZE!!!.
Few moments of terror, anxiety, curiosity, THEN FUN! , a little introspection later I found out that unlike a car where you drive where you point it, is more like youre drivin a very clumsy REAR AXLE! Thats very lazy to turn... The trick in to think to give plenty of space for the rear tires to fit (and they dont like to turn) and decide to use plenty of steering.
Also there is a gadget that was very helpfull, dont remember the name but is just a glorified LED that is held by the windshield by two suction cups, that makes adjustable and it marks (interferes) with the line of sight when normally seated driving, to the left line on the road. When adecuatelly adjusted you can keep the rig centered in your line.
Hope you have fun, also learning the thing is fun!.
I I HAVE A DATE WITH ETERNITY, AND I DON“T WANT TO BE LATE!
I have a license plate on my RV that says Good Bye Tension Hello Pension! Slow gentle and easy when starting out! Give yourself plenty of room. If your pulling out between two vehicles (you stopped for lunch or dinner and your parked in a big parking lot all by yourself, and when you come out after your meal you have cars are parked on both sides of you) pull out straight until you can see there front bumper of there car in your back-up camera, then start your turn. Good Luck.

It's a well-known fact that washing cars is the primary cause for both mechanical breakdown and, of course, torrential rain.
Apparently, cleaning an RV is tempting the gods to cause a person immediate physical harm. Lesson learned

Good advice. But.... what if there's no room in front of you (say there's another line of cars there). I suspect I'll just sit and wait for them to leave :-)
