Have another question for you fine fellows. Thinking about leaving the large Class A ranks, and getting into something more nimble. A small class C towing a vehicle (that got good MPG) might work for what we do. What would not work is the over the head bed, corner bed, or converting the living area into a bedroom.

So can you educate me on how small of a C is there that has a walk around bed. Any hints on make and models would be nice also, but I surely don't expect it. Or does it not exists in a under 30 foot C.

I have a Forest River 27 ft. Lexington. It has an island bed but walking around it might be considered a problem.

I had a 2002 Class C Triple E 28XL that had a walk-around queen size bed... and without slides.

This one has one slide in the front of the unit.
Not in the bedroom.

Thanks for all of the input.

I should also add that the C needs a living room area also and not just a center bed.

We're hoping to live in the rig for 2-4 weeks at a time twice a year. The rig will also have to pull a toad.

Depends on what else you want.

If you want a living room up front with distinct sitting and eating areas, you'll find most every manufacturer has a floorplan at 30-31 feet with a walk around rear queen oriented front to back, and something 29-30 feet with a east-west queen in a slideout, with a substantial wardrobe opposite the foot of the bed. Mine has that at 29'8" on the Ford chassis, a model no longer offered new.

If you are willing to give up some of that living area, perhaps sofa only with a stow-away table up front, you can get a walk-around rear queen at 24-27 feet. Several manufacturers, but not so many different floor plans.

ours has an overhead bed up front, dinette and couch that open up into beds, and a full size bed in the rear bedroom. the head of the bed is against the right side wall, and i guess it would be classed as a sidle-around bed. there are matching wardrobes along the back wall, along with a small desk with drawers.

1999 Winnebago Minnie, 29', Triton V10, mostly stock. So far...
