Your reception will also vary with your location. I found when I was in Southern California, Nevada, or Arizona it worked great. When you get up into Oregon and Washington it had lots of problems. The reason being the further south you are the higher up on the horizon the satelites are so it's easier for the dish to get a signal going over objects. The further north you go the more trees you have and the lower the satelite is on the horizon.
Mine eventually quit working and after doing all kinds of trouble shooting with King Dome they told me to take off the entire unit and ship it to them. I decided to quit messing with it and I wanted to convert to HD anyway so I have that dish now which can't be used in motion.

King Dome in motion can do HD, but you have to have DISH, it will not work with DirectTV. You will need to leave the search switch on even when stopped as it may need to change satellites for certain channels. I had a problem with mine after three years, and call tech support, and had the keypad plugged into it for programming. We determined that one of the computer boards in the dome itself were bad. I ordered a new one and replaced it myself, and now it works great. HD going down the road!

we have a king dome in motion dome just tried it in motion tonight more serching for signal than signal. is this how it goes with these? if it does not get much better i would rather have a traveler like on our old rig. What has every one ealse found with in motion domes?
I had the exact same system and when it worked it was okay, but I had so many problems with it I eventually had it removed and replaced with a HD dish. I didn't use it much in motion anyway.
