How is it going/did it go? How many of you are there? Did you have any issues with your pets? Hope you had a great trip down. We'd ALL love updates when you aren't too road weary!

Hey Tallyho! We crossed at Nogales the same day as La Penita Express crossed at Sonoyta. Have pets on board, but no problems encountered in regards to pets, thankfully. And no problems in any other respect. Had 2 very brief inspections where they came on board. We stopped that night at Guadalupana Pemex (El Eden)south of Hermosillo as we got off to a late start and spent 2+ hrs at Km 21 (mostly just waiting), so missed La Penita Express which I gather from enquiries stayed at Totonaka RV park in San Carlos that night, and left early the next morning. We are now at Totonaka, leaving tomorrow morning. BTW, had a bit of a situation in Hermosillo on the south end of town with construction and heavy vehicles being diverted to a truck route. We followed a friendly truck driver (it was after dark). Signage on truck route was good actually. Don't know what would have happened had we taken the left-turning lanes. Maybe nothing. Kind of convoluted, but all worked out in the end. Ended up on hwy 15 south.

When you leave Punta Ceritos to go back to mex 15 beware that there was no sign to show you where to get back on the auto pista south bound . I missed it last year and had to up a few kms to turn around.
Hopefully there is a sign there now.
