We took the motorhome out for the weekend, the first trip since the last Norcold recall. The refrigerator will not run on LP gas. Thinking that it has been such a long time that it might take a while to get the air out of the line, I tried dozens of time to get the gas to work. I will not! I've got the number of a Norcold Service Center when I get home, but it occurred to me that the refrigerator has not been used since the recall. Has anyone else had this problem or knows of someone else with the problem? I'll be contacting the dealer who did the recall in the morning. If I had any additional info it would be good.
Thanks, Paul

How long since you used it? Could be bad propane in the line. Start a couple of the stove burners and make sure the line is cleared. We had the same problem with the hot water heater last time out. I remember after a winter of setting it used to take up to 5-6 tries to get the burner on the fridge to stay lit.

If it runs on 120, then it depends on which part of the recall was needed. Some recall installs do NOT involve removing the rear control board cover. That means they did not interfere with the gas valve or other controls. The recall on newer refers require the rear cover to be removed and they have to disconnect the spark ignitor wire and the 2 gas valve wires. If they did not reinstall the gas valve wires or damaged the spark electrode piezo, then the lp section would be affected. Last, when we do the recall we always blow out the burner to clear any possible debris/rust. Your problem may be as simple as rust/debris has fallen on the burner during the recall or just from lack of maintenance. We ALWAYS start the refer on LP and verify amp draw on 120 after we do the recall. Customers should ALWAYS verify the operation on LP after the recall is done before they leave the Service Center. It takes less than 5 minutes. Doug

I think you mean 'left it in the OFF position'. It's likely.

The gas valve is on and the stove is working fine. Set to LP, I can hear the clicking of ignition, but there is no flame. I want to check with the dealer in the morning before I start into the unit myself.
Thanks for the help.

You might save a trip to the dealer if you check that the propane valve in the outside cabinet is getting voltage. It should be easy to get to and obvious where the wires terminate. A voltmeter and someone to turn the refer 'On' while you monitor the voltage are all that is necessary. While it's sparking, the valve should be getting 12V.
Then there are two fuses in the control and/or there could have been a mis-wiring while doing the recall...

I am not talking about the valve on the LP tank, but there may be a valve behind the refer.

Yes, there is a manual valve next to the electric valve behind the refer. It was in the on position.
