The Carefree power entry awning on my 2006 Monaco Knight is not working. It worked periodically if I tapped the end of the awning, now it doesnt work at all. I can think the motor is junk. I think my Extra ride warranty will cover it minus the $200 deductible but if I can fix it myself for around the same price or less, I'd rather since the RV is already tucked away for the winter and its a hour each way to the dealership. With that said, how do you access the motor on this awning? According to my build sheet, the Carefree model # is 57105ARJZ. Any input would be appreciated.

I have the 06 HR Endeavor with the same awning. Mine quit working also. I just had it pulled and a new motor put in it. It was a job for the tech to remove and get the motor out. They tell me that some have to have holes drilled in the end to get the motor out. That requires it to be repained. They were lucky and didn't have to drill the holes in mine. My extended warranty covered mine somewhat.
