Sunglasses and a baseball cap. Pulling over for 20 minutes or so lets the sun move enough to be less blinding shortly after rising or before setting.

Update. I ordered the sunshade material along with the pop-on suction cups. The material is 48" wide and two pieces cut 33" long are just about perfect for the windshield, just about because the windshield is not squared off so there is a little opening on the bottom of each side. The side windows worked out great also, they angle from 4l" on the top to 49" on the bottom so cutting back the width of the 48" material on an angle again is almost perfect. It takes less than a minute to put them all on so for well under $100.00 I have the cockpit taken care of and have enough left to do at least 5 or 6 more windows. I chose to do the windshield in two pieces instead of one so we don't have to cover it entirely unless needed.
Thanks for all of your replies, now have to figure out what's wrong with my Kwikee steps.

Afternoon sun "blinding" from the windshield.
Pull over for the nite earlier....or stop driving westerly. Or drive west at nite!
I really don't know how to stop the sun from doing anything. Can't tint the windshield....illegal and makes nite driving almost impossible

We don't drive westerly, heading south and the sun comes across the front most of the day that's why I did the driver and passenger window also. Way too early to pull over for the night when the sun is going down at this time of year. The sunshades work great at reducing the glare, I tried them out today.

I bought some limo black window film and installed it on the windshield then cut it to the size I wanted to see out of.
If you decide to do this, clean the outside of your windshield and take the film intact and place it on the window with the clear removal side out and very carefully take a heat gun and and heat it to fit the contour of the window then remove it and and install the it on the inside.

I did this same installation, and had minor trouble with the suction cups losing grip on the windshield. I removed the suction cups and used black caulk to glue the sunshade material to the rubber windshield gasket. Just a spot every 6 inches will hold it. I used masking tape to hold it in place until the caulk dried. They've been up for 3 years now. If you have trouble with the suction cups, give the caulk a try.

I got tired of having to raise my hand to block the sun glare, just to see where I was going. After a few close calls I decided I needed some sort of sun shield that can provide 100% blocking against direct sunlight or glare. Check this site out http://www.glare-shields.com

I put a double layer of dark tint(Walmart auto) down aways, then I got an inside black screen, like the stuff used outside, mounted it(velcro around the window frame) so I can roll it up just enough that I can see under it to drive safely..Mike M..
