Traveling with windows and roof vents open will tend to draw oder from the BLK/Gray tanks.
There are also vent pipes in the galley and bathroom. These vents may need replacement some times. New vent cap can be found in any home supply store.

There are all kinds of solutions to this problem, keep windows closed, keep water in all traps etc but the easiest solution is as posted above, get a Cyclone and your problems are over with.

My problem with this revolved around "negative" air pressure. Creating any vaccum at all will pull gases from traps and ill-fitting toilet gaskets. So.....keeping water in traps is an excellent idea, proper venting is another But sometimes opening or closing a window here or there solves the problem without much effort....this has been my experience anyways. Good Luck

zillions of miles have been travelled without sewer odor and without buying the "CYCLONE" opperate the systems correctly as outlined above and you wont need to buy that overpriced gadget.

Well, not always. I had a '96 Bounder with the same problem. I took good care of my tanks and knew to keep the p-traps full. Since there's no p-trap for the Thetford toilet nothing could be done except keep an inch of water in the bowl. Vents were clear, too, but we learned how to live with the slight sewer smell that occasionally wafted in when traveling. Same thing in our '86 Class C.

I added Cyclone vents on my former Class C and it solved the problem. It also made the MH look faster,
